dawg software package provides program to simulate the evolution of recombinant DNA sequences, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dawg
dawg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dawg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dawg *
You will get with dawg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
